vivo Y300 Pro Plus Launch in China and iQOO Z10 India Debut Explained

Chinese smartphone brand vivo has officially launched the Y300 Pro+ in its domestic market. Although it features an AMOLED screen and a robust chipset in its category, the highlight of the phone remains its huge battery capacity. Surprisingly, the same device will reach India in iQOO branding as the iQOO Z10 in April 2025.

If you’re wondering whether this smartphone is worth the hype, here’s a detailed breakdown of the vivo Y300 Pro+, including its design, specifications, pricing, and availability.

vivo Y300 Pro Plus

vivo Y300 Pro+ Design

On initial inspection, the vivo Y300 Pro+ looks a lot like the high-end vivo X200 series. The phone has a punch-hole screen with near-symmetrical bezels on the front, which provides it with a trendy, high-end appearance. At the rear, there is a huge circular camera island placed centrally. Yet, even though it looks a lot like the high-end X200 series, the Y300 Pro+ has varying camera components in the cutout.

Color options for the handset include:

  • Simple Black

  • Micro Pink

  • Star Silver

This sleek design, combined with the bold color choices, makes the vivo Y300 Pro+ an appealing option for users who prioritize aesthetics.

vivo Y300 Pro+ Specifications

Display

One of the standout features of the vivo Y300 Pro+ is its immersive screen. The phone has a 6.77-inch quad-curved FHD AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels. It also has a very high local peak brightness of 5000 nits, which makes it one of the brightest screens in its class.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the vivo Y300 Pro+ is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, manufactured on a 4nm process. The chip features a 2.5GHz main core and an Adreno 720 GPU for high-performance efficiency. The phone is offered in several configurations, supporting up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 2.2 storage.

Pre-installed, the phone comes with OriginOS 5, which is based on Android 15. But for India, where the phone will be released as the iQOO Z10, it will have Funtouch OS 15. The software support time for this phone is yet to be announced.

Cameras

The vivo Y300 Pro+ houses a dual-camera setup at the back, consisting of:

  • 50MP (f/1.79) primary sensor

  • 2MP (f/2.4) bokeh sensor

For selfies and video calls, the device features a 32MP (f/2.0) front camera. Instead of a traditional LED flash, vivo has integrated a circular Aura Light to enhance low-light photography, ensuring better image quality in dim environments.

Battery and Charging

One of the standout features of the vivo Y300 Pro+ is its huge 7,300mAh ultra-thin battery. It is compatible with 90W fast charging and even features 7.5W reverse wired charging, so you can charge other devices. Due to its big battery capacity, users can get up to two days of normal use on a single charge.

Despite all this, one should mention the fact that battery capacity might actually differ in Indian versions of the phone.

Connectivity and Other Features

The vivo Y300 Pro+ is well-equipped with modern connectivity options, including:

  • 5G support

  • Wi-Fi 6

  • Bluetooth v5.2

  • IR Blaster (for remote control functionality)

Additional notable features include Diamond Shield tempered glass protection and an IP6X dust-resistance rating.
