Just a few months ago, Samsung launched the S24 series and now the news of Samsung's new launch is coming, although many rumors suggest that Samsung is bringing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 to the market soon and soon does not mean in a few months but from next month. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will reportedly make their global debut next month i.e. in July this year at an event in Paris. Although the Korean smartphone maker Samsung has largely remained silent about the next-generation foldables, almost all the key specifications of both devices have leaked through a new report from Smartprix.
Samsung has accidentally revealed their designs, confirming a similar design language to their Galaxy S24 Ultra. Some sharp-eyed Samsung fans spotted the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 designs after the company accidentally published a marketing image of them on their website for Kazakhstan. According to that image, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a similar design to the Galaxy S24 Ultra for the edges.
The Korean giant has always offered its flagship foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold series, in multiple light colours. Samsung is planning to continue this trend, as according to noted leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks on X), the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be available in Blue, Mint, Silver Shadow, and Yellow colours. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will reportedly be available in three colours: Navy, Pink, and Silver Shadow. Apart from these colours, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be available in Crafted Black, Peach, and White colours. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will reportedly be available in Crafted Black and White colours. The last two shades are low-volume options and are believed to be available only through Samsung's online retail store. The pink colour appears to be a new addition this year, though it will likely be a lighter tone, in line with the foldable's other colour options.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (1,856x2,160 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Whose resolution is 2160 x 1856 pixels. At the same time, there can be a 6.3-inch external display with a resolution of 986 x 2376 pixels. It can run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy with 3.39GHz clock speed and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM. It is being said that it will come in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. And talking about the camera, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will reportedly have the same cameras as its previous model. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a larger cover screen and dual camera setup as expected. It is reported that the device will get an upgraded primary rear camera in the form of a 50MP sensor.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is said to have a 4,400mAh battery like its previous model. Reports claim that Samsung may only bring 45W charging speed for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 may still run with 25W speed. It is said to feature a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6. The foldable phone may measure 153.5 x 68.1 x 12.1mm and 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6mm when unfolded. Notably, the upcoming foldable device may weigh lesser than the Z Fold 5. Reportedly, the Z Fold 6 will weigh only 239 grams compared to the Z Fold 5's 253 grams weight.
They will likely run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 software out of the box. Both devices could come with a promise of seven years of Android OS and security updates.
