If we talk about the display, the company has done a lot better than POCO F5 and has found the best option for movie lovers. The POCO F6 could feature a 6.67-inch screen. This will be an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,400 nits peak local brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 2,160Hz PWM, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. So, compared to POCO F5, this device could be brighter, sharper, mitigate flicker better, and have improved glass protection and these are the reasons which will make it a good device for multimedia consumption.
Design
If we are talking about design then how can we not talk about color, you will get this phone in 2 colors Titanium and Black. It will offer a flat-frame design, which is also present in other recently launched Poco phones.
The rear panel also features large camera modules and a shiny texture. The front panel features a punch-hole cutout at the top center. The volume controls and power on/off buttons are placed on the right side.
Heat Management
Well, there is very good news for gamers as the company claims that this phone will cool 3X faster than other conventional cooling options. This is because of a new upgrade, 4800 mm² POCO ICELOOP System is being tested in this phone.
Camera
The handset is confirmed to sport a 50MP main camera with 4K 60fps video recording capability. It could bring an 8MP ultrawide sensor on the back. For selfies, it could have a 20MP camera on the front. The main back camera is of lower resolution than POCO F5’s 64MP shooter. But the F6’s front camera has more megapixels. But, we reserve judgment until we test the camera in the real world.
Prrformance and OS
Poco F6 will be India's first smartphone powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The Company also claimed that the phone will pack LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. One could expect it to feature up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Along with all this, this phone comes with Poco Iceloop System for better and quick cooling which offers 48000mm2 heat dissipation area. The Company claims that it is 3X times better than the conventional VC cooling system. For software, the smartphone will also be the first to feature Xiaomi HyperOS out-of-the-box, based on the Android 14 operating system.
Battery
As I said earlier, this phone is a better option for movie lovers and its battery capacity proves this fact. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery and will come with 90W fast charging support.
It also features Dolby Atmos for better audio, dual stereo speakers, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Expected Price
As this phone is going to be launched in the Indian market today with many new features and another good news in this is that you will get this phone with so many features at an affordable price. Although the company has not said anything about the price yet, but it has said that this device will be launched in the mid-range category in India, which means we can say that you will be able to purchase this device for less than ₹ 40,000. The Poco F5 handset was launched at Rs 29,999 and the new model is expected to be available at a higher price. This assumption is also based on the price leak of Poco F6 pro on Amazon in the European market, at EUR 619, near to Rs 55,800. And the Poco F5 was priced in India at Rs 29,999.
