Lenovo owned brand Moto launched Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra last year in June and we were expecting something similar this year too but half of June is about to pass and we have not received any news of the new Razr yet. But in the meantime we have received news of Motorola's new Razr phone along with its launch date and that news has been published by Motorola itself.
So now the Razr phone mystery is solved as Motorola China posted on Weibo confirming the launch and launch date of the 2024 Razr and Razr+. So now your wait will soon be over with the arrival of the 2024 flip-style foldable version.
In a teaser post on Chinese social media platform Weibo, Motorola confirmed that the 2024 Razr and Razr+ will be officially launched in the region on June 25. Just like the 2023 model, the company will brand the Plus model as the Razr 50 Ultra in global markets, while the entry-level variant will be known as the Razr 50. We suspect both Razr models will become available in the region soon after the announcement on the 25th.
Motorola seems ready to make some strides with its two upcoming foldable smartphones. Speculations have it that the Razr 2024 will come with a significantly larger 3.6-inch cover screen, up from the 1.5-inch panel of the previous iteration, Razr 2023. Conversely, Razr+ 2024 may feature a much bigger 4 inch cover display as opposed to 3.6 inches for Motorola’s low-priced and flagship flip foldables.
There is also expectation for more enhancements. It is likely that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will power the Razr+ 2024 and there could be possible variations in RAM and storage sizes too. This top model will probably have a slightly bigger battery of about 4000mAh. On the other hand, the cheaper Razr 2024 should maintain its forefather’s battery pack at approximately four thousand two hundred milliampere-hours (mAh). The camera system on this phone might get an upgrade as well since it has a primary camera of fifty megapixels, telephoto unit of fifty megapixels two times zoom and front-facing camera which is thirty-two megapixels in size; such kinds are impressive upgrades that suggest Motorola wants to supply both performance and features through their lineup of foldable phones.
Recent renders suggest that the Moto Razr 50 will feature a leather finish on the back, enhancing its premium feel. The smartphone is expected to be available in three colors: dark gray, a darker beige shade, and a rusty hue. The base model of the regular Razr 50 will be priced at INR 59,990 in INDIA.
