iQOO Z10 In-Depth Review
Design & Display
The iQOO Z10 distinguishes itself through its quad-curved AMOLED screen – a characteristic one doesn't easily find in this price range. With a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1300 nits of peak brightness, the phone promises an incredibly engaging experience whether it's for content viewing or navigating social media.
At only 7.89mm thick and 199 grams, the phone feels slim and lightweight in the hand. The IP65 rating also brings an extra element of strength, insulating against water splashes and dust.
Performance
Driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, the iQOO Z10 provides swift app performance, seamless multitasking, and reasonable gaming performance. It's manufactured on a 4nm process, which is more power-efficient than older 6nm chips.
But there's a trade-off in using UFS 2.2 storage, slower than UFS 3.1 employed by most rivals, even within its own brand series.
Battery & Charging
A huge 7300mAh battery is the highlight of the show here easily lasting over a day and a half for heavy to moderate users. Paired with 90W fast charging, it can charge from 0 to 100% in less than 45 minutes, making it an excellent choice for users who are always on the go.
Camera
At the rear, the iQOO Z10 has a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a high-resolution 32MP front camera, which takes crisp and clear photos, and is perfect for video calls and social media enthusiasts.
There's no ultra-wide lens or OIS (optical image stabilization), though, which could constrain its usability for serious mobile photographers.
Audio & Extras
Here's where the iQOO Z10 has some shortcomings. The phone has a single speaker configuration, which is disappointing in an era where even low-end phones are providing dual stereo speakers. There's no 3.5mm headphone jack either.
On the positive side, you do have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and an in-display fingerprint reader for new-age connectivity and convenience.
The iQOO Z10 delivers a flagship-like experience to the sub-₹25,000 market, particularly with its gorgeous curved AMOLED screen, premium build, and huge battery. But some strange compromises such as single speakers and slower UFS 2.2 storage might frustrate some power users.
All that being said, if camera, selfie camera, and battery life are your priorities, the iQOO Z10 will not let you down. But if you want faster storage and stereo speakers at a lower price point, the iQOO Z10x may actually provide you with more bang for your buck.
