Samsung has announced Exynos W1000, which is the World's FIRST SoC for wearable/smartwatches manufactured on 3nm node.
W1000 is manufactured by Samsung Foundry on its 3nm process utilizing GAA (Gate-All-Around) architecture and the yield is expected to be above 70% for wearable SoCs
CPU:
1x Cortex-A78 @ 1.6GHz
4x Cortex-A55 @ 1.5GHz
(1+4) penta-core configuration
Samsung claims it delivers 2.7x faster app launches, 3.4x faster single-core performance, and 3.7x faster multi-core performance that Exynos W930 used on Galaxy 6 series
GPU: Mali-G68 MP2
Display: 640*640 px
Storage: eMMC 32GB
RAM: LPDDR5
Connectivity: Wi-Fi 4, GPS, Bluetooth LE
Exynos W1000 utilizes Fan-Out Panel Level Packaging (FO-PLP) for enhanced heat management in small wearables.
Using system in a package (SiP) integration, the Exynos W1000 incorporates power management and employs embedded package on package (ePoP) for DRAM and NAND flash memory.
