As you asked, iOS 📱 release date – September 9,16 or 23 (expected).
The updating is promised to be one of the most awaited and full of new features.
However, Apple showcased at the presentation features that are not coming this fall. But it wasn’t always clear what will arrive in 18.0, and what’s being saved for later this year or even some time in 2025.
Here’s the full list of features we know won’t arrive until iOS 18.1 or later:
🧠 Shared access to Apple Intelligence and not beta - the feature will roll out on a first-come, first-served basis, and likely won't work outside of the US; removal of the beta status could happen as early as 2025.
📧 New Mail app features.
🗺 New Siri mode inside third-party apps and task management.
🔗 Virtual Display for Mac on Vision Pro and Multiview support for 🎞.
🏡 Editing spatial video in Final Cut Pro.
📖 iPhone Mirroring on Mac (someone asked in the comments why this function isn't working after updating for macOS Sequoia, so that's why).
🦠 New emoji from Unicode 16.
💼 New Home app with support for robot vacuum cleaners.
