Apple Maps just launched on the web as a public beta

Apple Maps is now available on the web in public beta, allowing users to get directions, switch between map styles, and explore guides for locations worldwide. Launched to coincide with the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the MLS Leagues Cup, it currently supports English and works on Safari and Chrome for Mac/iPad and Edge/Chrome for Windows.

While core functions are present, features like 3D buildings and "Look Around" will be added later. Users can view business details and order food directly from the map. Apple's investment in enhancing Apple Maps includes 3D recreations of iconic landmarks.

To access the public beta, users can visit beta.maps.apple.com
